Title "Let's Decorate the Night"

I owe this sculpture partly to my cat, Luna, I sat it down on the ground next to the heat register to get to dry quicker. Originally I just had one figure holding the sun and I thought of it as a morning statement. During the night Luna decided to try and eat the figure. In the morning I was horrified at what Luna had done. I pitched the entire sculpture in my wet clay bucket so I could use the clay later on. I started thinking more about the sculpture and I thought wouldn't it be cool to have more figures and have them carrying stars and the moon. I told my boyfriend, Spencer, who has 4 cats, that cats are only good for one thing and that is catching mice. He didn't appreciate my comment too well and I said that when I adopted Luna from the shelter his resume said B.S. in mice catching. I've always considered myself a dog man and so Luna is my first cat that I have owned. I really like him and we get along great, and the bonus was yes indeed he did take care of my mice issue and of course made me think about this piece more.
